Local High School Scholarships $1000
The
Bloomsburg Area Youth Foundation was recently formed by our club
to further fund scholarships for local high school students.
Ambassadorial
Scholarship (International College Student) $10,000 is sponsored
at regional level.
Student
of the Week is a program where we honor one local high school student
each week during the school year who is excelling in academics.
Interact
Club of Columbia County is comprised of young people from our local
high schools who want to make a difference in the community. Interact
clubs perform at least two projects a year, with one serving the
community and the other furthering international understanding.
Along the way, Interactors develop their leadership skills and initiative
while meeting new friends
The
Bloomsburg Rotaract Club (based at Bloomsburg University) provide
an opportunity for young adults to enhance the knowledge and skills
that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical
and social needs of the community and to promote better relations
between all people through a framework of friendship and service.
International
Student Exchange: Rotary's Youth Exchange program is open to young
men & women, generally between the ages of 15-19, children of
both Rotarians and non-Rotarians. Our club sponsors two types of
exchanges:
A long term exchange of an academic year's duration, during which the student
lives with more than one family and attends school in the host country. The
short-term exchange is usually several weeks during the school summer recess.
Our club has sponsored students to and from more than 20 countries. |
